Seems I'm a pagent adict... and I'm in the Top 4...
I know it's kinda nerdy, but I've always had a desire to participate in (what I consider) "pop" culture. My parents could attest that this theme was evident from my childhood. I entered numerous coloring contests, was a bit player in the Wizard of Oz ( "It's a twista" ), and participated in a talent show or two (I was one half of a 3rd-grade-break-dancing-duo... that's when I learned to do the worm). I even have a vivid memory of my mom driving me to enter a 'Super Bowl Shuffle' parody contest sponsored by the local news paper. I think the year was 1985 :-).
As I grew, so did my attempts. In gradeshool, unbeknownst to my family, I entered us on 'Double Dare' (a Nickelodeon gameshow). Right after college, I applied to the real world. A few years back, I applied for 'The Apprentice' (Only a few special people have seen those audition tapes... very sensitive stuff).
Lately, I've been into web culture. I've submitted stories to digg, videos to youtube, and recently designs to shirt.woot. All with relatively low success. Seems things may be-a changing...

The votes for Derby 10 have been tallied and I'm in the top 4. If I'm in the top 3, they will sell my shirt... 1st place goes on sale Friday; 2nd place on Sat; 3rd place on Sun. They'll sell upto 1000 shirts on the first day. If my shirt get's printed, I'd be psyched. I think that would be the coolest thing. Poeple actually wanting to wear something I designed. Actually paying money for it.
Oh, by the way, woot does offer some monetary incentive. If they sell more than 500 shirts of my design, I get $500. After that, if the full 1000 sell out, they'll sell the shirts for $15 and I'd get $2 for every shirt that's sold.
Here's hoping the Cubs win tonight, I'm in the top 3...
