On in two...
... and three putt. But who's counting?

This summer, after 10+ years away from the game, I decided it was time to come to peace with golf (imagine my driver repeatedly telling me "It's not your fault" and you pretty much have the idea). So, I've spent many a summer evening on the lynx with Brian, Matt & Steve... most of the time looking in bushes or streams for my ill hit drives.
While the rust hasn't fallen off as quickly as I would have hoped, there have been signs of improvement. Basically, golf has thrown me a bone now and again. Whenever it sensed I was about to take my toys and go on another decade hiatus, I'd hit a shot that would make me blush. Needless to say that the next dozen or so shots would turn my face red for another reason, but I digress.
This brings us up to Sunday when, during a purely mediocre round, I performed a feat which caused me enough pride to jinx myself by taking pictures to archive the event. I reached a 475 yard par 5 green in two nearly perfect swings. Watching the ball roll up onto the green and stop about 15 feet from the hole was a pretty cool moment.
Three putting wasn't so cool, but that's golf... feeding your jones just enough to have you feeling good, then, with your guard down, it taps the window just so it can ask you, "Do you like apple?"
Yes I do, golf. Yes I do.

Dave that looks like you in the picture above Matt Damon's right shoulder. Maybe you really go to Hollywood on all those business trips.
