Back home again in Indiana...

(for those aware of the Field Family Canon, how can you not crack up around 0:45 as thoughts of umbrella juggling and IMS chants run through your imagination?)

First things first... much props to my wife for allowing me to fly to Indy to spend the weekend with my family & friends. It was a blast to see everyone and to get back to the track.

Highlights are numerous, but a few stand-out memories follow (in attempted chronological order)...

• The moment I realized that I was getting on an airplane for fun instead of work.
• Getting to see the track with cars streaming into it as the airplane landed... only made better because two Clavins had pointed out the "track" earlier... only to realize it was a high-school football & track stadium when the captain announced, "the track was coming up on our right".
  
• Getting to tell the same gentlemen that "Carbs are on Friday" as they started telling people that they were on Saturday... that's the only piece of Indy knowledge I possessed
• Finding perfect seats to watch the entire pit crew race while befriending Dan/Ben... who Billy mildly mocked until the moment he mentioned he had 2 tickets for the Race he'd let Kim have.
• Running into Dawn just after the pit crew race... after each of us both had a few icy cold beverages
  
• Recanting the Canon of hotdog stealing, umbrella juggling and IMS chanting
• Watching Karner petition for Labamba all day... and finally seeing him get it around 3am in the morning, only to immediately hop a cab.
• Finding Jimmy John's subs in the fridge each night
• Drinking Corona with Brown, Ballgames & Harper... while Robby napped, had door trouble, and was thankful he brought extra bottled water.
• Getting to hang with Shaggy, Dance with Kimmy... and watch Billy negotiate cover charges
• Watch my mom hit a free throw... Old School style
